Agribusiness
Charleville is the head office location for Kerry Agribusiness, the Kerry Business Services Centre as well as a manufacturing site for Kerry Foods and Kerry Ingredients. The popular 'Cheestrings' is manafactured in Charleville and has proved a massive success in the export market.



Engineering
Charleville is a centre of excellence for engineering with various established firms in the stainless steel and environmental sectors. These are largely home-grown, indigenous industries that have developed over the past thirty years to become major players in their fields. These include BCD, Response Group, Flow Technology, Dairy and Engineering Services Limited and Diesenvale.


Hospitality
Charleville Park Hotel is the sole four stars Hotel and Conference Centre located between Cork and Limerick and because of this has proven a very popular venue for conferences. Its conference rooms can accommodate up to 800 persons and is equipped with a large modern leisure centre with swimming pool and gymnasium.


Education
St. Joseph’s Foundation is a nationally important institution and the town’s second largest employer. Under its motto “To Care” the Foundation continues to grow and to respond to the needs of people with learning disabilities, both children and adults. St. Joseph's employs over 250 people from a wide range of professions including psychologists, care workers, speech therapists, horticulturists, job coaches, music therapists, administration staff and physiotherapistsprofessions including physiotherapists


Motoring Industry
Cavanaghs of Charleville is one of the largest car dealerships in Ireland. The business now comprises two showrooms, a 14-bay service department, state of the art bodyshop and over 2 acres of used cars on display.

Textile Manufacturing
Murray & Son, Ltd is a 4th generation family business founded in 1913. A dual retailer and manufacturer of various textile products, it draws their supplies from specialist manufacturers in countries as far away as China, Taiwan, Turkey and Egypt.

Distribution
Due to the strategic location and infrastructural network available to Charleville, the German supermarket giant Lidl established its distribution centre for the Munster region to the south of the town. The company is currently planning to expand its operations here.
